Pizza Dough

Pizza Dough  I used to baulk at the prospect of making dough - but this is so EASY, it's better than the store sort - this makes enough for 2 x 30cm pizza

Servings: 2 yield(s)
Ingredients
  • 400 g Type '00' flour
  • 1 tsp Dry Yeast
  • 250 ml luke-warm Water
Instructions
  1. Combine dry ingredients, in a bowl, and form a well in the centre.
  2. Pour the warm water into the well and mix until dough forms – taking care to incorporate any dry ingredients from the bottom of the bowl.
  3. Turn the dough out onto a lightly-floured surface and knead for 5-10 minutes – until smooth and elastic.
  4. Lightly oil the outside of the dough ball, place in a floured bowl, cover with plastic wrap and leave in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. When the dough is ready, place on a floured surface, cut in half and roll each into a ball.
  6. When ready, push the dough out into a 30cm disc. Pushing the dough will give a thicker, lighter crust – rolling with a rolling-pin will give a thinner crust.
